Motivation for the gym

by Sophie
(Inverness)

Before the runners block!

Before the runners block!

I used to love going to the gym or for a jog and had no problem turning up 2 or 3 times a week. However recently I just don't have the motivation to get there. In the last 3 months I've been once, and haven't managed to run at all.
Does any-one have any good motivation tips to get me back to the gym??

Classes are the way to go
by: Sheena

Find a class that interests you.

You will find it more motivating when you make friends in the class, making it more likely that you will turn up and not skip the class.

There are all kinds of classes to suit all interests, instructors will motivate you when you feel tired.

I personally love BodyBalance, BalanceCombat and Pilates.

The gym I go have just launched a dance class called Zumba.
From all the people I know that have gone, it is a great class and lots of fun.
I would love to try it but I go to classes 4 nights a week, so will have to give it a miss.

Good luck getting back into the swing of things.
