Mother Teresa of Calcutta 1910-1997

by Amelia
(FL)

She has so many good quotes, I just had to list a few of them.

Caroline says:- While looking for more quotes by Mother Teresa I came across this site http://www.motherteresa.org/08_info/Quotesf.html which has a section about quotes falsely attributed to Mother Teresa. It seems none of the following can truly be attributed to her. However, I thought I would still share them as submitted by Amelia because she provided them in good faith and it is obviously an often repeated mistake.

"I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love." - Daphne Rae

"Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love" -Paraphrase of Mother Teresa's words.

"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway." - This is an adaptation of the Paradoxical Commandments by Dr. Kent M. Keith.
