Jane Fonda Workout

by Jeannie
(Long Island, NY)

I used to workout using the Jane Fonda workout videos. Her tapes were great because she had good music to workout to and her steps were not too hard to do. I was very toned by using them and actually looked forward to working out to them every-other morning. The music was so catchy, that I used to here the songs in my head before going to sleep.

Now I have joined a gym that has a 30-minute workout. It combines step aerobics and weight lifting in one minute increments. It is the "burn" factor that gives you the great workout. It really makes me feel good to sweat out all the toxins after doing that.

An early inspiration
by: Caroline (UK)

Jane Fonda always was, and still is, one of my exercise heroines - I still have her Workout book and cassette tapes, and subsequently bought her video cassette series of half-hour workouts (aerobics, strength-training).

I was interested to learn that she has some new ones coming out. I'll have to look out for them, thank you for mentioning them.

All the tapes (some of them now very old and well-used) have lasted surprisingly well - but I guess this time around I'll probably have to buy them on DVD!

Aaah memories.......
by: Caroline

Yes, Jane Fonda was my introduction to aerobics too.
She has some new workouts coming out later this year which ain't bad for 72 years old - an inspiration for staying fit and healthy, though her politics during the Vietnam war still hurts many.
