Home Remedies for Sunburn

by Harriet Bond
(San Francisco, CA, USA)

Wanting to get a suntan in the shortest time possible, often end up with sunburn. How recognize a sunburn? Symptoms vary from person to person and is directly proportional to the degree of exposure. The skin becomes sensitive vesicles or blisters appear and filled with water.

Local phenomena may be accompanied by fever, chills, fatigue, weakness, shock like thermal burns. Burns occur when the protective skin pigment called melanin, is unable to cope with excessive exposure. Depending on the severity of the burn, should get special treatment or a natural treatment. Burned skin will not be exposed to the sun on these 3-4 days after the sad event. Do not break blisters and peeling skin!

Treatment at home

Skin creams, aloe leaves, sour cream or yogurt, olive oil and tea are some ways to combat skin irritations. They are applied directly to skin, but important is diet, which should contain more fruits, vegetables and liquids to help your skin to recover.

When the burn is severe, we immediately put cold water and, currently, the pain will diminish. Aloe leaf contains a gel that helps relieve cold pain and moisturize the skin.

Lemon juice for pain

Applied to the skin, juice rich in Vitamin C acts as an astringent. Equally good is apple cider vinegar and honey. The skin can be washed with tea: wormwood, yarrow, chamomile, ash, marigold, black poplar in, acacia, elder, oak,. All these teas are good both on the skin, and consumed in large quantities for hydration.

Oils help skin regeneration

When the blisters disappear, put hay dressings with oil, chamomile oil, ointment or aloe poplar shoots. The next day, remove the bandage, leaving the place clean and sterilized. For optimal hydration you should drink at least 3 liters of liquids.
