Good Cholesterol - Bad Cholesterol?
According to the John Hopkins University "High cholesterol levels in middle age do not appear to increase women's risk of developing Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia later in life, new Johns Hopkins' led research finds, despite a body of scientific evidence long suggesting a link between the two."
A stable, healthy cholesterol level is best for usrather than a declining one. If our cholesterol level declines from middle age onwards we are at 2.5 times more risk of developing memory wasting diseases.
However, if you are found to have a high risk of developing heart disease or stroke then you will usually be advised to lower your cholesterol level.
