Eating Raw Garlic....first of all, it must be said that garlic is a good source of magnesium, vitamin B6, C and B1. Also is rich in phosphorus, selenium, calcium, potassium and iron. Reduces risk of heart disease
The main reason why you should eat it is to reduce the risk of heart disease. Studies have shown that a diet rich in garlic lowers blood pressure, blood thinners, lowers "bad" cholesterol and increases "good" cholesterol. All these benefits are due to pungency, rich in sulfur containing compounds. These sulfates are designed to relax blood vessels and improve circulation.
Garlic has natural anti-oxidant property, so it helps the body fight against free radicals. Vitamin C, selenium and manganese are powerful antioxidants that protect the heart.
