Dealing with Arthritis

by Sylvia Fredericks
(San Francisco, CA, USA)

For most youngsters, they think that arthritis is something that most of the older people have to deal with. They think nothing of it and just assume that painkillers are enough to make the problem disappear.

The truth is, this can be an extremely painful condition. At times, it can even incapacitate the person. The continual pain felt can stop you from living your life to the fullest.

A number of older folks don’t want to start depending on drugs. They want a way to get rid of the pain completely. Doctors would recommend exercise for pain relief.

These doctors do have a point. Exercise is beneficial, especially for people suffering from the disabling pain of arthritis. There are specific exercises that help increase the suppleness of your joints.

The movements you will be asked to make can boost the strength of the bones and muscles. Aside from that, you will also have more energy throughout the day. The exercises help a lot because it strengthens the muscles joined to the impacted joints.

Because of the increase in strength, the joints become more flexible. Of course, not every type of pain can be managed successfully with just exercise. If that is the case, you need to consult with your doctor, or you could even aggravate the situation.

They will know exactly what form of the disease you are afflicted with, and whether or not you can improve your situation with a mere workout. Some forms of the ailment should only be treated through medicine.

If exercise is an option, there are several kinds that your physician can recommend to lessen the pain. The first of which is range of motion exercises.

You will be asked to move your joints in every direction and as far as possible. These are actually the simplest to carry out.

In fact, these have also been the first option for those who want to prevent tightness by constantly working their joints. It is better if you establish the routine every other day. If not, your efforts will be futile.

The other type of exercise you might want to consider is strengthening exercises. These are made up of certain movements that are designed to work the muscle, but do not move the joint.

The variety in movements was designed to build strong muscles around the joints so that you can provide them with better support.

There also the aerobic exercises. What these do is increase your heart rate and cardiovascular health. Some older folks may easily tire out and won’t be able to complete the routine. It does a lot, though, in building stamina and increasing energy.

For the unfortunate few who aren’t allowed to do the exercise, there is also a solution to their dilemma. They can look into the Omega 3 fish oil for arthritis.

What makes this better than the other medicines is that it has double the anti-inflammatory properties. When used with a green lipped mussel powder, you are able to alleviate pain and feel relief almost instantly.

Just make sure that you purchase the medicine from a reliable source because some of them do not go through the proper process when it comes to producing the finished product.

Omega 3 is a very helpful natural remedy to help alleviate the effects and pain of arthritis. This site has many helpful tips about nutrition and free health plans to reduce your arthritis and and help you with a healthy heart.
