Follow healthy eating guidelines - keep your body well on the inside and it will show on the outside too.
A home exercise routine is a great way to get some exercise everyday. Set achievable goals and choose an exercise you enjoy. Aim for around 30 minutes every other day.
Laugh - find something to laugh about everyday and cut your stress levels.High stress levels are harmful and can put you at risk. There aren't obvious signs of high blood pressure, but you can still be at risk.

Quit smoking - no need to explain why, you know it's bad for you, your family around you, your pets, everyone.
Relax - Ok, you think you're too busy - taking time out to relax quietly for even just few minutes will refresh your mind and body. You'll have renewed energy and enthusiasm to tackle work or the family.
Sleep - my Mum used to say "no-one ever died through lack of sleep". Well maybe they don't, but if I don't get enough I surely feel half dead and perhaps you do too. Getting enough sleep means we can function properly in all aspects of our life.
Smile - Oh, it feels so good to smile. If you are feeling down, think of something or someone special - I bet you'll smile and a big weight will lift off your shoulders. Take a look at the depression checklist - in case it's more than just feeling down.
Cut the Caffeine - if you are sometimes anxious, restless and irritable, or have trouble sleeping, it could be due to drinking too many cups of coffee. Look out for the warning signs and if you are experiencing any of these just check how much you have drunk.
Alcohol - many of us believe a glass of wine when we come home from work is the perfect antidote to a stressful day. Be aware that when we feel we can't relax without it then its time to take stock.
