7 Health Issues Treated with Lemon Juice

Despite the sour taste that does not please everyone, lemon has proved to be an excellent remedy for many health problems. Besides fighting colds, lemons can help treat conditions such as constipation and, urinary infections or varicose veins.
Here are some remedies with lemon juice offered by Dr Penny Stanway in her book "The Miracle Of Lemons."
1. (Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
Lemon juice has a slightly alkaline which is beneficial to the urinary tract. Consume the juice obtained from half a lemon two to three times a day.
2. Hypertension
The content of potassium and magnesium relaxes the arteries and facilitates blood circulation. In addition, lemons contain flavonoids, nutrient recommended for health of arteries. Include in your daily diet lemon peel and juice.
3. Varicose veins
Lemon can act as a tonic on the veins with an anti-inflammatory effect and to strengthen vessel walls. Massage feet with a mixture of 2 drops of lemon juice, 2 and 3 of lavender oil and 2 drops cypress oil, almond oil.
4. Indigestion and heartburn
Lemon juice is recommended to aid digestion and to soothe heartburn. A study conducted by Americans found that 1,000 mg of limonene (lemon essential oil) taken daily helps to eliminate heartburn and gastro-esophageal reflux. Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with a glass of warm water and consume after a meal.
5. Lemon essential oil
Effect of this fruit is known to combat cold symptoms. Lemon essential oil is a good expectorant and is used as the main ingredient in many medicines to treat cough.
6. Psoriasis
Experts have found that citric acid in lemon juice relieves symptoms of psoriasis such as scales, dry skin and chapped. Helps skin to retain water and promote exfoliation of dead cells. Apply lemon juice on the affected areas several times a day and then expose to sunlight for several minutes.
7. Constipation
Lemons are rich in pectin content and helps digestion and fights constipation. Include in your daily diet of lemon peel and juice.
Lime consumption can be very beneficial to your health, especially in cold periods. Vitamin C is vital for a strong immune system. Its main role is to protect us from disease, so lemons are recommended in the prevention and treatment of various diseases such as colds, flu, ear infections recurring.
Due to high content of vitamin C, researchers have associated the consumption of lemons with a lower risk of death from cancer and cardiovascular problems.
